Step ONE- opening the package

At first glance the first part of the unit is very impressive. All graphics and layouts are appealing and easy to leaf through. I committed to the entire process and started with your DVD with Beverly who is explaining the pilot material and walk through. It is definitely worth the time or likely I'd have skipped some very important components on my own.
The DVD was very helpful as I followed Beverly through the steps. I am thrilled to hear that critical literacy is embedded even in our new FSL curriculum. This brings the skills development full circle for students but also for teachers in the school. FSL teachers aren't respected on the same level but with curriculum that speaks to all literacy skills FSL teachers can participate in discussions and learn from first language teachers as well. This is a great step.

I love the teacher observation charts and language portfolio which can be prepared by day one start.
The curriculum goals are excellent- you are doing an impressive job of addressing literacy in a way we were never really offered as FSL teachers before.

With a DAY ONE first step the programme is so user friendly and will appeal to all types of teachers.
As a first overview---I am thrilled at the potential in this programme, THANKS SO MUCH, Anne-Marie
