I have completed lesson plans accounting for days I am absent to attend meetings with board and Ministry of Ed on CEFR and minutes of lessons. I think if all goes well we will have completed to end of first case to lesson 7 by January 31st.
Despite the fact that these students have had French in the past since grade 1 this programme fits with perfect timing as I had just started alphabet and phonemics with them to this point. It will still be a fantastic challenge as I foresee all of the students despite abilities and levels will be interested in kept engaged and learning because of the way the lessons are scaffolded from for example distinguishing names and masculine and feminine to spelling theirs and others' names with French alphabet. Even if a student had mastered alphabet, this is still a challenge for all and so much fun. Keeping their names and applying this to all their activities is a SMART way to set up lessons.
I can't wait!
See you soon!
Mme Denis
